Breaking the Logjam on US Accession to the Law of the Sea Convention

Now President of Pt Capital, the Former Lt. Governor of Alaska and Chair of the US Arctic Research Commission discussesthe history of US support for, but eventual non-accession to, the Law of the Sea Convention.  His talk concludes with legislative options in the US Congress to address concerns about joining the Convention.

Representative Max Gruenberg of the Alaska Legislature joined Mr. Treadwell for a post-keynote discussion.
